Ruby Sees (And Smells) Wildlife

We just returned from a trip to Custer State Park in South Dakota. You can read more about our adventure in Monday's post. This was Ruby's first trip west and she was able to see and smell all kinds of amazing animals!

One of 1,500 free-roaming bison that live in the park.

The burros are not really feral and often stick their heads in car windows looking for food

The not-so-feral burros. These cuties sometimes stick their head right inside car windows.

The burros are pretty friendly but feeding them is discouraged

Prairie dogs a plenty in Custer State Park

Not bad for a little rescue dog from Chicago! You can read more about her adventures here.

  25. Happy Labor Day Ruby and Family. We enjoyed your wild life photos. Our enjoyment for the Labor Day has been watching the neighbor across the street get a fifth wheel camper only to have it kneel in the front then go over on its side into a neighbors house. The smell was great for me as the toilet/ plumbing had not been emptied.
    Thanks for stopping by
