But thanks to Safe Humane Chicago, dogs like Mambo (and Ruby) get a second chance. Staff and volunteers engage, socialize, and train them to be great canine companions. Once their cases are settled, Safe Humane Chicago transfers them to partner shelters and rescue groups for adoption. All court case dogs receive a lifetime of behavioral support through the program.
Mambo takes his first brave steps
When Mambo arrived in July, he was so terrified that he refused to leave his cage. The world was a scary place and he was frightened of people as well as the other barking dogs around him. But slowly, after many weeks, lots of love, patience, and dedication, Mambo is now a love bug.
Mambo is ready to leave his past behind and begin a new life. This brave boy clearly has lots of love to give if only someone would give him a chance. Since he is a court case dog, he is guaranteed free training and behavioral support to help him navigate the world and his new home successfully. If you are interested in fostering Mambo or part of a rescue organization that might consider admitting him, please email courtcasedogs(at)safehumane(dot)org.
