Ruby at the World Series!

Ruby reporting live from Wrigley Field, the night before the 2016 World Series

So there's a ball game here in Chicago this weekend ...

The Cubs are in the World Series for the first time since 1945

Ruby reporting live from Wrigley Field, the night before the 2016 World Series, keeping watch for goats

I will be reporting live from Wrigley Field all weekend long. And in case you are wondering, I am not afraid of a goat.

The Curse of the Billy Goat: The Chicago Cubs have not been in the World Series since 1945. Many believe that the team was cursed during game four of the 1945 World Series by Billy Goat Tavern owner, Billy Sianis. Sianis was kicked out of game four because his goat was bothering other fans. Outraged, Sianis cursed the Cubs and claimed that they would never play in another World Series again ...and until this year, they haven't.

For some Friday fun, please check out out my post on hiking with couch potato dogs

  4. According to that story, I think you should fear tavern owners, not goats. So, the cubs are a baseball team, right? Very cute photos.

  22. Interesting about the Billy Goat curse. Our South Carolina Gamecocks had a story of a chicken curse.

  23. Living in the Northeast, we know what curses are all about, but the Red Sox finally broke theirs! Good luck to your team!

  27. Maybe if a goat could be the cause of a curse, an adorable dog can be what breaks the curse. :) It is really cool that so many ball parks are becoming pet friendly. I hope it was a fun game!

  31. I think it is awesome that you got to go! I like that both haven't won in a long time, that will make it sweeter for the winner and the second place team should be proud that they were so close.
