A special guest post by Sam ...
I’ve been using a wheelchair for the past four years and I’ve learned many new things. At first, I was upset that my rear legs didn’t work, but my dad told me that maybe with therapy and hard work, they might come back one day. As part of my treatment, I swim, receive acupuncture, laser treatment, and chiropractic adjustments. I also take many supplements. My peeps have hired nice people to help me with all these things and walk my brothers and sister during the workday.
Over the last four years, I have built up my muscles and adjusted to my wheelchair. I take daily walks and have met many wonderful people, dogs, cats, and even a few goats as well as some odd inflatable lawn decorations!
My life has not been diminished in any way. In fact, it has gotten better – I’ve learned many new things, I’m mobile and I have a family who loves me. I’d say things have worked out just GREAT!
