The Teenage Years ...

Sigh sister Rosie has hit feline adolescence

not listening

You are not the boss of me

Give me the car keys ...I want OUT of this house

Here's just a sampling of recent Rosie related incidents ...

1. Playing peek-a-boo I am going to get you with Lulu, my bunny sister

2. Jumping up on the counter while my assistant is making sandwiches and snatching  pieces of turkey - not once, but three times!

3. Using the lap top key board as a scratching post

4. Ripping a hole in a new, unopened bag of dry cat food - so when my assistant picked up the bag all the food fell on the floor.

5. And my personal favorite, giving herself a bath on the kitchen table just as the peeps are about to sit down for dinner.

Busy, come back later.

Do you believe what I have to put up with?

  1. welcome to my world...seems Luke alex has been giving Rosie some tips

  2. You're telling me? Try living with 6 cats! AND a foster kitten!

  3. Awww, Pip, me feels fur you. You has such a ruff life!

  4. How do you do it, Pip? The things we have to endure sometimes. Sniffs, The HoundDogs

  5. I'll tell the easiest way to straighten Rosie out: chase her BOL!

  6. Ahhh! Girls and the teenage years. Don't miss them at all. Rosie is being a regular bum isn't she! I do love her ears!

  7. PIP I am so lucky, I don't have to put up with this sort of thing. And what's up with the ears? Is that the latest teenage cat craze?

  8. I sorries but I not feels your pain howevers, brudder Albert does cuz I is only 4 so he has been wheres you is and he say it be a nightmares.

Now Rosie has always skeered da daylights outta me but nows her REALLY skeeres me...except I did likes da part bouts her grooming herself on table. I thinks I'll tries dat.

  9. Oh the HORROR of it all. I do not know how you stand it. I think the management needs to GROUND HER!

  10. Oh and I has sent Mini Puddles to da store fur us to gets our stuffs. You stay right wheres you is, on da couch.

  11. The kitties are different, aren't they. Freedom, Casper and Nikki feel your pain...just a little different...they live with a senior kitty.

  12. Tee hee, she has a very dissaffected look in those photos. You can almost imagine she is composing some stormy adolescent poetry.

    Urban Hounds

  13. MOL Pip...sounds like Rosie has her cat-a-tude adjusted purrfectly to me!!
What a cute pic of you two together
    Hugs from your BFFF,

  14. Dude... our kitteh brudder still does lots of those things and he's 17! But that's probably because he's into the cranky old man stage!

    Sam and Pippen

  15. Pip. be glad you don't live in our house. There are hundreds of cats here. (not really hundreds) But there are way too many. Rosie had very interesting ears. She sounds like she is just a cat and can get away with the stuff. You know Pip, that cats rule unfortunately for us dogs. Hope all of you have a great day.

  16. Sounds like time for a time out and take away the nip, Pip!!! Have to keep those rebellious teens under control.

Woos - Phantom, Thunder, Ciara, and Lightning

  17. But that all sounds so normal Mr. Pip!

  18. I hope you were able to take advantage of the food on the floor incident. Sounds like Rosie has settled into your new home a bit too well.

  19. Ah Pip, I kinda understand your pain. Cats sure do think that all the rules DO NOT apply to them. You know, like taking a bath on the kitchen table.

You are a very patient pup, Pip.

  20. Pip, you are truly a saint!

    -Bart and Ruby

  21. Oh Pip, those teen years are so tough. I feel for you. However, Rosie is pretty darn cute! Hang in there Pip, it will get better.

  22. There was some very inappropriate sniggering coming from our mother when she was reading about Rosie's misdemeanours.
We, of course, are horrified, just like you are Pip!
    Dip Bridge and Elliot x

  23. We feel for you Pip, all we know about cats it to chase, but we do know teenagers hang on it's gonna get worse. BOL

    The silvers and more

  24. Hey Pip!
Wow, it sure sounds like a teenager to me! At least she's entertaining and none of this trouble is your fault. I'm always happy when it's not my mess! BOL.
    Grr and Woof,
    Sarge, COP

  25. I feel your pain, Pip! I used to have a kitteh and he was much the same way.

The good thing about Rosie being so naughty lately is that all the focus is now on her so you could probably get away with things a little easier now. Just don't take it too far though!

  26. Bathing on the kitchen table while peoples are eating there???.....

Too, too disgusting. Put her down in the basement for a day or two, maybe she will change her wayz.

    Stella and Mom

  27. Wow! Rosie sounds a lot like Finn right about now! He turned two a month or so ago and now he is the classic teenager!

  28. Rosie sounds like quite the character.

  29. Awww Pip! you should get a special award for having to live with a teenager, even worse a kitty teenager!

    We feel you pain

  30. Our favorite is #4. That is a good one! Sounds like she is coming into her true kitteh form. Hold on to your fur Pip!

  31. Oh, that Rosie! Next thing you know, she'll be getting pierced somewhere and dating strange boys! I hope you have a lot of patience!

  32. Well Pip, what were the humans doing trying to eat dinner in the middle of Rosie's bathtub??? Tee heee!

  33. Hi Pip! Our favorite ones are #3 and 4!! :) :)

    Momo & Pinot xoxo

  34. Whew! That Rosie sure does think she runs the place, doesn't she? (But, well, I kinda want to learn that trick about ripping into the bag of food. Do you think she'd teach me?)

    Wiggles & Wags,

  35. PeeS. Thank you, thank you for your kind and sweet words on my bloggie today for mom. They really meant the whole wide world to her!

  36. Hehehehe this is why there are nooooo kitties in my house!
Ok... really the reason is bc my dad is allergic. If he wasn't, I wouldn't be here and my house would be invaded with 50 cats.

  37. I hear you, my friend.... Somedays....

  38. Amiguinho Pip...

  39. Pip, I want to know where did you get the sweater with the guitar. Bet you rock and roll with it on.
    Sweet William The Scot

Hope she grows out of it soon.

    Love and licks, Winnie

  41. Oh Pip! We think what Rosie does is so normal!! We 'specially like to bathe on the dining room table!!

  42. Come to our house Pip for a vacation...or um... a dose of hell which would makes Rosie's antics seem quite tame in comparison!! Six cats Pip.Six.Count em.

Your pals in disbelief and utter horror ,
Issa and Duffy at the cottage xo

  43. Hmmm, sounds like your feline sissy has quite a case of teenage naughtiness. I hope you don't pick up some of her habits, Pip. You would never, right!?! ;)

  44. O Dogness! Sounds like Sammie with the octostuffings; is Rosie bein' nice to YOU??? On behalf of Mom, we mighta been a little tiny upset about the bag 0 foodables sprinkling the floor, but we woulda known what to do about it wink wink!
    Hugs xoxo
    Sammie and Avalon

  45. Your personal favorite is mine too, Pip! Wow, that Rosie is going wild. You better guard your snacks closely or she might eat them!

  46. Kitties are weird aren't they? What a ruff life
    Dachshund Nola

  47. She sounds like a pawful of sassy! Just don't let her start running with the wrong crowd!

  48. Oh Pip! I am so sorry that you have to share your house with such an adolescent!

I laughed out loud that she was playing peek-a-boo I'm going to get you with the bunny:)

  49. you better show who is boss in that house
    Benny & Lily

  50. And she took a bath on the kitchen table! Does she think she is a queen bee?

  51. BOOTIFUL Rosie, I know this is untrue. You are far too innocent and lovely.

  52. Awww, Pip. You know you have to be a responsible big brother if you want Rosie to grow into a mature cat.

    Huggies and Cheese,

  53. It's a travesty Pip! I don't know how you do it. Such patience!

  54. OMG! You are living with KC's long lost sister... or aunty or something! is she evil too? Deccy x

  55. Oh Pip that's rough! I think you are the boss, not the c-a-t. Maybe you better put some scheme into action and see what you can do about the situation.

  56. I love this post!! I've always thought that as difficult as dog's adolescent times, cats are even worse. After all, cats can go places dogs can't.

Relax, it doesn't last forever and someday you can look back and laugh.

  57. lol pip!
yep! you are a true family!
    wonderful through and through!

  58. Pip - how DO you do it, putting up with all of that teenage stuff!?!?
I think you should get the treat of your choice!!

  59. Pip, do I detect a tone of jellyness in your postie? Mebbe you wish you had kitteh powahs so you could do those things? There is one thing both you and I can do... Pawdon me while I go start werk on that unopened bag of dog food sitting on the floor.

  60. Poor Pip, the things you have to endure that no cute-as-can-be guy should have to.

Stay strong Pip, I thinks they grow out of it (at least I hope so).

    Sugar the Who

p-n-s:: the momma here snorted and snickered over the foods falling on the floor...her mentals are fading.

  61. We feel your pain Pip. And when they get older, it doesn't get any better! No worries, and love, Stella and Rory

  62. No going back, now. Rosie has achieved full catitude.

We're so sorry to hear about Miss Judi's test results and will keep our paws crossed for her. Mama's been a breast cancer survivor for 17 years and we have every confidence Miss Judi will also be a survivor.

    Jed & Abby

  63. thank you for the insight cause mommish loves meow meow but we'll be sure to save this post just in case she gets any cute ideas when our new pibble house is built
