Seize the Nap!

I visited the cardiologist today and things went surprisingly well. My vitals were good and the fluid is GONE from my lungs!  I had an EKG and it showed some moderate mitral regurgitation, which means about 25% of the blood is leaking back into my heart through the mitral valve. However, the cardiologist feels I am otherwise healthy and with good care can live with this condition - probably a year or two, if we are lucky.

According to the doctor, I must stay calm ...
 avoid strenuous activity (as if)
 maintain a healthy diet (huh?)

Most importantly, make the most of every day since there are no guarantees on how my heart condition will progress. In other words, SEIZE THE DAY NAP!

Thank you so much for all your love and support. I am pretty sure all your good wishes, thoughts and prayers had something to do with the fluid magically disappearing from my lungs!

Hi Pal! :) Got your message. Sent one back to ya :) Glad you're restin up and SOOOOOO HAPPY about your good report from the specialist :D

Mom's been workin on one of her Lab projects. Learnin how to make widgets. What's a widget? I don't know butt, she said you inspired the design of her first one. A Power of the Paw widget. Has a heart that keeps sendin out strong wellness vibes 24/7 :D
You can see it on the top of my blog's side bar.
She said she'd send you the html code in an email if you want it. She hasn't figured out how to put that on my site without it turnin into the widget yet. Knowing her she'll eventually get that. You don't happen to know how do you? Oh that's right you're nappin. Shhhhhh. I'd sing you a lullaby butt the only one I know is rather weird...somethin about a baby up in a tree that when the wind blows it rock its cradle then the tree bow breaks and the baby falls out of the tree. Not too sleep inducing in my book. What crazy peep came up with that one anyway? ;)

Waggin at ya,

That is excellent news Pip. Momma's last dog had far more advanced cardiac condition and lived 2 years from start of treatment. Woo seize the napballs. Hmmm do you have to stop sawing logs- does that count?
