Change Is Good, Right?

Thanks for all the suggestions on ways to help me adjust to my new yard. It's just so BIG and OPEN and there are all these crazy birds chirping in the trees! I've lived in the city my whole life - I'm not bothered by sirens, fireworks, car alarms, or even loud neighbors coming home at 4:00 a.m. - but these birds are driving me NUTS!

In addition to the noisy birds big yard, the new house also has this great bay window where I can sit and watch the world go by.

So this is life in the suburbs ...

Wonder where a guy can get a decent cheeseburger around here?

Hey papa, throw me the car keys I want to take a spin around the new neighborhood!

I love your window seat! Finn is right 5 guys burgers - yummy or if you have a mighty fine :)

Living in the burbs should not be all that bad lil Pip... You could start to go out for a walk... and mark allllllllllllllllll the trees and christen all the tires along the way. That would be fun.

Regarding the big yard and the chirpy birds... i guess the birds are just too excited you are finally here and giving you a rousing welcome. The yard might be a bit big.. but we will all know where to hold big paw pawties when where to grill cheese burgers next :) Its a beautiful house. Hope everyone and everything gets settled down soon.

Watch for kamikaze birds in the spring Pip. They hurl themselves against your windows... over and over and over. Doesn't matter how many times they do it, they never figure it out. I think birds are really stupid.
Congrats on your new home!

We love your bay window, Pip, and agree with Frankie and the Woos that you need some comfy cushions to sit on up there. You and Rosie can rule the world!!

WOW this is great. Really

I promise, you'll learn to love it. True it will be hard to find a good burger, most of the really good food is in the big city....but there are a bunch of things in the suburbs that will help you forget about them

Once the boxes are unpacked and your familiar things once again surround you, it won't seem quite so different. Time, dear friend, I was pretty scared when I moved froma farm in Kansas to albuquerque, NM...and imagine how Quinn felt coming from LA! I bet there is a perfect place to get a good cheeseburger nearby.

Well, I'm not really the right dog to ask abouts this cuz, well, I myself am what my momma calls "change-averse." What I have found really helps me whenever there are big skeery new things is CHEESE. Yep...cheese sure changes my mind abouts lots of stuff. And if it comes on a burger...well, that's even BETTER!

I bet before you know it, you'll feel like you lived there all your life!

Pip, buddy, you will get used to the birds. If not, have your Mom get you one of those sound machines - do you think they make one that has "city sounds"??? BOL!

And, um, we think you need a nice comfy cushion for that window seat. Just sayin' . . .
