Snowpocalypse

Just wanted to let you know that we survived Snowpocalypse 2011. The end result - 22 inches of snow, 70 mile an hour winds, 25 foot waves on Lake Michigan (we live a few blocks from the lake), lots of snow thunder and lightening, and random power outages.

Nice shoveling job, mom. Not!

Where am I supposed to do my business with all this snow?

Giant snow drift

The view from our front porch, notice the cars!

Our alley.

Time for a nap. Wake me when spring arrives.

  13. MEOWZA, Pip!!!!!!!!!! Mama said those pictures remind her of her growing up(?) years in South Dakota....with snow banks that were over her head!!!!

Anyway, us boys think it's really cold here in South Texas....this is our second day of temps at night in the teens and in the 20's during the daytime...they are saying we could have snow tonight....which us boys would love to see at least once in our lifetimes!!!!!

Our mama says she'll believe the snow when she sees it....she was here in 1985 when there was a record 13 inches of snow....the whole city shut down for a couple of days!!!!!!!!

Us boys say.....BRING on the SNOW!!!!!!!!

  14. Hey Mr. Pip :o)

Pawsome pictures! Love your coat :o)

I'm going to finish up my postie tonight when my Daddy's laptop will be available.
We got hit with 20 inches were we live.
I got lucky my Daddy shoveled our deck and some of my backyard. My Mommy is useless when it comes to stuff like this. She hates winter and her brain goes into “safe mode” or hibernation ;o)

Stay safe and warm my dear Friend. Hope your Bro Sweet Pea is doing better.

    Later,
    Neeko :o)
P.S. I imagine you are very busy these days training for the Big race.

  15. Oh my dog! It is practically like the ice age there. We are glad you survived all the terrible storms to blog another day, bol.
Tell Mum, more shovelling is needed - a lot more, tee hee.

  16. Hi Pip! We are glad you all survivied the blizzard in tact! We worried about all our local furry friends in it! We got a lot of snow too but only got a couple of the thunderbooms at our house - but we saw some on TV (they freaked the TV guys out and we laughed so hard!) We think you look so super cute in your winter clothes! And we saw your comment about your dad being from our town - we wonder if he knew our dad because he grew up in Downers Grove (mom is from the area but not Downers). That woudl be so funny! We hope you are all staying warm now that it got super cold!!

  17. It has been hard for our big dogs, I can't imagine how awful it must be for little you. And being near the lake you must have so much more snow.

  18. Oh Pip..I am so glad you got through the storm ok. I love your varity of coats:)

Don't walk to much in that high snow, we don't want you to pull a muscle or something before the big race!

    ReplyDelete
  19. Wow! Did your mom make a place for you to pee? I'd be afraid that I'd freeze to the ground!

How are you able to train for the race in this weather? Inside gym?

    ReplyDelete
  20. I hope the blizzard didn't put too much of a cramp in your training! I went out and ran in the snow for a while yesterday. That'll make you feel the burn, that's for sure!

I love your coat and sweater! At least the groundhog didn't see her shadow! Spring is right around the corner, my friend!

  27. Pip you sure look good in your coat and sweater. That's a scary amount of snow for a Pip. Clearly the snow does not care that it is hogging all the room for buisinesses!

  36. Hope the airports are opened so you can get your flight down to FL; isn't that still the official race location? If there are still travel delays, maybe Alien will give you a lift. Maybe you should leave now, just to be safe? You could bunk in with Roo until the race.

    Good luck, little buddy!
