Ready Set - GO!!

Don't mind me, I am just out for my morning run. When I finish up here, I am going to pick up a cheeseburger and fries hit the gym and lift some serious weights. Who knew training was so hard!!!

Training for what you ask? Only THE BIGGEST AND MOST EXCITING EVENT of the year!!!!

That's right, Bunny has challenged me to a race. Apparently, she suspects my "World's Fastest Dog" video might be a fake!!

Now, Bunny and I are dear friends, but these are serious accusations! I am an honest, law-abiding dog (aside from a brief stint in Cook County jail) and will not let my good name be smeared.

The RACE will take place "LIVE" on Saturday, February 5th. It will be broadcast on both of our blogs for your viewing pleasure.

Brother Roo will be serving as my coach, manager, and general go-to-guy. They don't call him Mr. Fix-It for nothing (wink wink).

As you can see, I have been pumping some serious iron!! Watch out Bunny, I am coming to get you!

Is there a bookie available for taking our bets?

  16. I wonder if ESPN will be covering the race?
Now about this LACK OF LEGGIE issue. I'm kind of an X-pert on that thingy. I think it sorta keeps down the Wind Resistance, don't you???
I thinkin that legs are ... over rated.

  17. My money is on you Pip!!! I'm sure you'll make all of us short doggies proud when you fly past Bunny for the win!!!

  23. Wow, that is a serious challenge! Bunny looks really fast!

    ReplyDelete
  24. Oh, Pip. I told Bunny AND Puddles this but I just don't know abouts this challenge. I mean, you've seen you run, right? How does Bunny have any hope of beating you? And she's so proud of that whole I'm-a-faster-than-a-speeding-bullet-greyhound thing that I just don't know what it will do to her self-confidence when...er...IF she loses? Now I'm not suggesting you throw the race or anything but...well..just sayin'.

  27. Hey, Pip! You'd better really be working out! Puddles has put me on a diet of cheetos and special Kool Aid that she assures me will have me in top race shape. I will not be drinking beer, though! Too many calories!

Anyhow, I'm off for my morning run! I expect to be in great shape by race day!

  28. Oh Pip! Maybe next week I will do a post of some exercises to help you train and maintain the good looks! I didn't get my muscles from doing nothing! I have faith in you, Pip! Bunny is a dear furiend of mine too, so I'll try not to take sides... hehe.

  39. Just between us, SuperPip, is there a ringer involved? We admire the ginormous size of your heart, the fire in your belly, and your all-American underdogness. We're betting on Bunny. Oh - unless the race course is like a 12" tunnel that's only 3 feet in circumference, or runs under a house or something. Or unless the audience is asked to clap really hard to show they believe in fairies - oh, we meant miracles - and it WORKS! But we REALLY love you, little dude!

I am so glad I came to my senses and looked at your blog this morning or else I would've missed the workout of a lifetime! The only issue I have is that I don't know who to root for...I love both of you so this is going to be tough to watch in February...oh well...all I can say is "May the best dog win!"

  50. Our money is on you; I mean, Bunny is a retired greyhound, right? Retired people don't run; they sit around and watch 'Wheel of Fortune' all day. Little doggies, on the other hand, are SNEAKY FAST. We're placing our bets as soon as Puddles' bookie comes out with the odds! ;-)
