Can't We All Just Get Along

I may not be the smartest dog in the world (I dropped out of puppy school, don't understand basic commands, etc.), but I do know tempers are high and emotions raw over this election.

Like everyone else, my housemates and I have are our own political and personal agendas.

Uh, Rosie, catnip IS safe and legal!

Have you met my foster sister, Lulu Bubbles.  She’s a “vegetarian” ...

Deep breath, stay focused …

I will not rest until this sign and others like it are banned.

My sisters and I are very different.  And as you might imagine, we disagree about almost everything.
  • Lulu Bubbles is a vegetarian – Rosie and I are not ...cheeseburger, cheeseburger.
  • I like things tidy while Lulu prefers the messy lived-in look. Rosie doesn’t care as long as someone else does the work.
  • Lulu hops, Rosie runs, and I ride (in style, I might add).
  • I am a natural people pleaser – Rosie and Lulu not so much. They are independent girls who agree that listening is OPTIONAL.
But when it comes to what really matters, we agree – we love our family and have learned to make things work through compromise, dedication, and compassion. See where I am going with this?

We celebrate our differences and in honor of my sister, I am going to eat this carrot. TURN THE CAMERA OFF NOW!

No matter what happens today at the polls – remember that tomorrow is a new day and we still need to work together to move the country forward.

If a dog, cat, and rabbit can live together peacefully (in a rather small apartment) – surely, Americans (in a HUGE country) can learn to do the same.

Disclaimer:  Rosie, Mr. Pip, and Lulu Bubbles do not endorse individual candidates (though their mother does). They support issues – food, friends, and homes for all animals …including humans.

  4. Mr. Pip....you are wise beyond your years and obviously you learned lots before you dropped out of puppy school!!! Well done cutie pie

Tell Mom we're working on our pictures and we'll get them to you in the next few days!!!

Hugs, Purrs, bow-wows and nose wiggles to you all.

Funny true story speaking of bunnies. Mom told me one time when my human sis was a wee girl she was having trouble going to sleep. So Mom laid down with her. Mom said her nose was itching but since my sis was asleep Mom was trying not to move. So she was wiggling her nose to help with the itch....My sis said to her 'Mom is you a rabbit'? Of course mom lost it and laughed her head off and they had to start the sleeping process all over again. MOL

  5. In da words of Mr. John Lennon:

Imagine no possessions I wonder if you can
No need for greed or hunger a brotherhood of man
    Imagine all the people
    Sharing for the world

You may say I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will live as one

You may say I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
Take my hand and join us
And the world will live, will live as one......

........and if that don't work out...open up your can of Whoop A$$!!!!

(that last part was added by me, by the way)

  7. Well said little one... compromise, dedication, and compassion will surely help a country move forward. Without that... it will be down in the dumps. Homes for all animals and humans is most impawtent too with the winter just round the corner.

Hope the right candidate wins... the one with a big heart and a clear head.

  10. PeeS - We think this is the first pic we've seen of Lulu - she's beautiful! She's a veggie like our Mom & Dad. We're most definitely NOT!

Also, we tried to post a comment on Rosie's post from Fri - and when we hit the "Post Comment" button, we lost connection! Maybe she knows we don't know how to speak "kitteh." Anyway, we think she's beautiful, too! Maybe you can translate :)

  16. Well said, Mr. Pip! Your speech was so "right on" that I think you should apply for a job as a politicians' speech writer! Your speech didn't put me to sleep or make me feel like turning the computer off and that says a lot!
By the way, I'd love to have you read my post "A Not So Spooky Trip To Salem, Massachusetts" because we happened to meet your lookalike there! And guess what? Your lookalike wouldn't give us a ride in his stroller! Heehee!

  27. I could not agree more strongly about that sign! More and more of our "open space" doesn't allow dogs. Uh oh, I'm getting upset - and that's exactly what you didn't want.

I get your message. I agree. We should all get along as well as your family!

  28. Pip, you make a lot of sense. I wish humans could see it your way. And I totally agree about Dogs' Rights, too. That's an issue close to my heart as well.

    lotsa licks, Lola

  29. Here, here, Pip! I agree with everything you said! Especially about dogs being allowed equal access! I wish you were on the ballot. Next year, I'll have Mom write you in!

I love your foster sister, she's really pretty.

I agree -- can't we all just get along? I don't know about where you live but the commercials here this election were vicious. I'm glad we won't have to listen to them anymore.

  37. Pip, forget your schooling. I think you are the smartest dog in the world! I think that everyone could learn a valuable lesson from you and your sisters. You all set a very good example that everyone else should strive to follow… Too bad a dog, cat, or rabbit can’t run for office! I seriously LOVE this post!

  41. We totally agree with you, Mr Pip. Though we don't live in the same country but issues like that are the same everywhere.

You dropped out from puppy school, we don't even go to school! We do homeschool though, but who say we aren't smart!!

    ReplyDelete
  42. This is prolly one of the most wonderfulest posties I ever read, Pip. And I just couldn't agree more! I think the world would be ever so much better if humans could understand that they all want the same things, even if they approach it in different ways. Yep...we all need to learn to get along. Well, except for squirrels. I don't think we need to get along with squirrels.

  43. We're new to your blog, but we're going to just pile on and add our "well said!" to all the others. It's already clear the politicians are going to misinterpret the votes they got as support for their divisive ideas, when we think most of us just want them to tone it down, grow up, and start really addressing the serious problems facing our country.
